Definition: a fear of monsters; a fear of having a deformed child
Etymology: Greek teras `monster'
just thought it was an interesting word..

    My favorite is Arachibutyrophobia - fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth. Buy Jiffies and put a monster in your mouth.

    leo- i was always told that arachibutyrophobia was fear of spiders getting trapped in the peanut butter that was stuck to the roof of your mouth....at least thats what the nuns taught us....and btw- wheres your blog?

    Teratophobia- Fear of bearing a deformed child or fear of monsters or deformed people.

    Now the words that have been bolded are what I find interesting. At what point can you have this fear????
